Cookie Policy
Effective date: April 22, 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember information about your visit, such as your login state or preferred language. This page describes the cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage) used by Steward Brand at stewardbrand.com.
2. What we use
We use only strictly necessary, first-party cookies and similar mechanisms. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or cross-site behavioural profiling.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
next-auth.session-token | Steward Brand | Keeps you signed in (NextAuth.js session) | 30 days | Strictly necessary |
next-auth.csrf-token | Steward Brand | Cross-site request forgery protection on auth flows | Session | Strictly necessary |
next-auth.callback-url | Steward Brand | Returns you to the right page after login | Session | Strictly necessary |
tenant-slug | Steward Brand | Routes you to the correct workspace (multi-tenant) | Session | Strictly necessary |
oauth-state | Steward Brand | CSRF protection during platform OAuth round-trips | 10 minutes | Strictly necessary |
theme (localStorage) | Steward Brand | Remembers your light/dark theme choice | Persistent until you clear it | Functional |
3. Third-party cookies on connected platforms
When you go through an OAuth flow to connect Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, or YouTube, the platform's own pages may set their own cookies on your browser as part of their login process. Those cookies are governed by the respective platform's own cookie policy: Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Google / YouTube.
4. Consent
Because all the cookies we set are strictly necessary to deliver a service you have actively requested (signing in, choosing a workspace, completing a secure OAuth flow), we rely on Recital 30 of the ePrivacy Directive and do not show a consent banner for them. We will display a banner if and when we ever introduce optional analytics or marketing cookies.
5. How to control cookies
You can clear or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies above will sign you out and prevent you from using the Service. To revoke our access to a connected social account, disconnect it from the Connections page inside the app or from the platform's own app-management settings.
6. Changes
We will update this page when we add, remove, or change cookies. The effective date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
